Early 20th-century homes just west of Uptown
Wesley Heights grew up in the early 1900s as a streetcar suburb on the west side of Uptown, and it is now a local historic district. Its streets are lined with bungalows, foursquares and other early 20th-century homes with deep front porches, many of them carefully restored, along with newer infill and townhomes at the edges of the neighborhood. From some streets the Uptown skyline feels close enough to touch, and the Stewart Creek Greenway runs nearby.
Restored homes and what buyers look for
Buyers who shop Wesley Heights tend to love old houses, and they look closely: original floors, windows and doors, fireplaces, built-ins, porch columns and the quality of the restoration. Photos need to show that character without hiding the updates that make an older home livable, like a modern kitchen, a renovated bath or a finished upper floor. HDR keeps period details textured in softer interior light, and rooms are framed honestly, because older homes often have smaller, more defined rooms than a wide-angle listing suggests.
Skyline views and aerials
A view of Uptown from a porch, an upper window or the yard is a selling point worth its own frame. Drone photos, included with every package, can put the home in context with the skyline and the greenway. Because Wesley Heights is close to Uptown and within the airspace around Charlotte Douglas, flights are subject to airspace authorization and may be limited at some addresses.
Which package to book
Signature (from $649) is the best fit for a typical restored bungalow: HDR photos, drone photos, a detailed 2D floor plan with room measurements that shows how an older layout and any additions fit together, and a social reel. Smaller cottages and simple infill units can go with Essentials (from $349). For a showpiece restoration or new construction with skyline views, Luxury (from $1,295) adds a cinematic video, drone video, a 3D tour + floor plan and 3 virtual twilights. A real twilight session with city lights behind the home is also worth considering.
No trip fee applies in Wesley Heights or anywhere else in the city of Charlotte. Shoots are available Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
