A historic downtown and suburban neighborhoods
Matthews, southeast of Charlotte in Mecklenburg County, pairs a walkable historic downtown, with its farmers market and local shops, with a wide spread of suburban neighborhoods. Much of the housing was built from the 1980s onward: two-story traditional homes, ranches and cul-de-sac lots in HOA communities, along with townhomes, older homes near downtown and newer construction on the edges of town. For many buyers it's a family-focused move, made with schools, yards and the commute in mind.
Making suburban homes stand apart
In a neighborhood where several homes share a builder's floor plan, the listing that wins is the one with the best photos and the clearest layout. The shoot focuses on what differs from house to house: an updated kitchen, a sunroom or screened porch, a finished bonus room, a fenced backyard, a lot that backs up to woods. A 2D floor plan helps buyers see which version of a familiar plan they're looking at and where the bedrooms sit.
Yards, cul-de-sacs and community amenities
Suburban buyers care about outdoor space. Drone photos, included with every package and subject to airspace authorization, show the yard, the privacy of the lot, a cul-de-sac position and nearby green space. If the HOA allows it, a few photos of the neighborhood pool or clubhouse sell the community as well as the house. Mature trees are common in older Matthews neighborhoods, so exterior angles are picked to keep the house well lit and unobstructed.
Our package recommendation
For most family homes in Matthews, Signature (from $649) is the strongest value. It pairs HDR and drone photos with a detailed, measured 2D floor plan and a social media reel to promote the listing and any open house. Townhomes and smaller ranches can go to market with Essentials (from $349). Larger homes with pools or significant outdoor living may benefit from Luxury (from $1,295), which adds a cinematic video, drone video, a 3D tour + floor plan and 3 virtual twilights.
Matthews is outside the city of Charlotte, so a trip fee may apply depending on the address; you'll see it at checkout. Learn more about floor plans and 3D tours.
